Yum Cha hi-tea buffet (28 Jul 08)
3pm-6pm. chinatown.
YUM CHA buffet supposedly as the whole group. 7 of us. but jiawei couldn't make it. she had difficulty getting out of her hall camp. and kristen was unwell..
so.. 5 of us! joan was late.. so glad she made it despite experiencing some pain earlier on. yay!! ah gong's message spurred joan to come (^.^)
(haha, yes, i was woken up by stef's msg. and within 30min, i flew out of my house!)
we could REALLY EAT! never undermine our appetite!
we ate much much more than what the photos show. i was too hungry to bother about picking my phone up to take photos.. kes shall send me the remaining photos soon la hor k? good good. thanks girl!
around $20 for the buffet and we ate to our fill. literally.
my stomach nearly exploded. super sinful la! i had 3 plates of soft shell crab and insisted that it's the best dish there. though kes and joan said that it's oily. do not remind me!!
joan was quite funny. we talked about the food we ate before she arrived and talked about zhi3 bao1 ji1 (chicken wrapped in paper?). she was the one who said that she wanted to eat it. but ended up, the 4 of us shared it. and we forgot to order it for her when she came. oops! we really forgot all about it.. she was still harping about it in the mrt back home..
heard that it was jiawei and joan who wanted to come eat dim sum buffet. ahyo!! jiawei!! so sad u can't join us today!! the food tasted sOOoo GOOD!! jealous?!?!
nvm!! we shall go have the chocolate buffet at Fullerton one day if possible! =D
something was really wrong with me today. i kept saying wrong things. i even read wrongly la! so much for laughing at kes when she said funny wrong stuff previously. what goes around comes around.

right after that, 5 of us went to buy toiletries at the 2 shops that sells very affordable stuff in chinatown. ocean and swanston.
infant and i had to stock up toiletries for our hostel stay. (they literally stock up as though they will be loaked up in their hostel forever lo!!! they bought like 6 months supply of "bread"!!! HAHA!!! i am NOT EXGARRATING lo!!) i'm starting to miss home a little. i'm missing home even before i move out. haix..
the 7 of us can really shop for anything under the sun. i could still remember.. the 1st thing i had gotten together with kes when the 2 of us were not even very close was ....... undergarments?? haha!! the both of us still remembers la!! =)
:P yeah, then we lik to shop for auntie-ish stuff! especially kes! hahaa! :P

just came back from FOC (Freshman Orientation Camp) by CSS (Chemical Sciences Society). eh, it was fun?!
haha. alrights lo, did learnt quite a lot of useful things in a 2days 1 night the camp.
made some nice, cool friends, and interacted with some weird people. *ooopsie!*

joan don't tell lies. i feel that certain people think and act differently, and i can never understand why they do certain things. yes it is pretty sad to like ostracise them but getting them involved is almost like mission impossible. there is no clear leader during the camp, some people just doesn't want to listen to other people and neither do they wanna share how they feel about a certain issue, so yeah, sucks la. probably it is because the camp is a short- 2days 1 night camp and we have not known each other for a long enough time to form even stronger bonds. so yeah lo. ): plus, the people there are very highly competitive. i admit that i am one of those competitive and violent ones too, haha. :P ask kesleen about it! haiz, but still everyone there is like clever?! the CAP of most of the senoirs there are above 4! wah... damn damn smart lo. i wish i can be like them! (: gonna reference my lab reports from them liao :P
oh, my group name was khuza! which means excitation in african, excitation was also the theme of the camp itself.
and khuza climbed from the last position to the third position!

stef's group got the first! i think stef's group is a really nice group, there is one clear leader that deserves and is able to gain the respect of her group memebers. they deserve getting the first prize which is $70 haagen daz gift voucher. (: haha. i like her group! (:
there is something quite astonishing during the camp.
many people in the camp looks like people that i know of! haha. and kesleen found her brother's twin!
haha. and i don't look like a chinese/singaporean again. ):

and kes looks like rui en! hello! rui en has baby fats lo! haha. kes like has no fats!
sleeping in the LT sucks!
omg! it was cold! yet, warm after i slotted myself into my sleeping bag, and cuddled up in one tiny corner of the LT.
we slept in all over LT22, in whichever places that has empty spaces. and my friend slept onto me during the night! *ouch!* that was the only time i woke up,adjusted myself and continued my sweet dreams. other than that time, i was soundly asleep! (:
i didn't get to sleep facing my sleeping buddy! rahhs.. ): she chose to have prata over me. ): hmph!.
okies, that's all for the camp. i am getting ready to go gym liao! suddenly has this stong urge to gym. i feel fatter after the camp. haha. bye!
