NUS pre-registration

damn it man!
it is so so ma fan to enter uni la.
there are so many miscellaneous procedures that we have to go through.
And the worst thing is we would even know if we had missed one step or another without our friends' constant reminderS!
):

and did i mention that i went for my QET without registering for it.
After reaching NUS, i didn't see my name on the name list of the people taking QET.
So, I thought, maybe I didn't have to take afterall.
However, Jiawei need to take leh. So why am I exempted?
and, that was when i realised that i actually forgotten to register for it.
rahhs.
malu lo. ):
not really malu also la.
I didn't get chased home though, (:
cause smart NUS knew that there would be some jokers like me who would have forgotten to register yet blur blur came for the test.
haha!
so we were allowed to take the test too, separated from the rest of those registered ones.

As i was very afraid that history would once again repeat itself.
I have decided to do my pre-registration early.

Oh, for those who don't know,
You are supposed to do your pre-registration before you go down for the registration.
Dates of Registration is written in the BIG NUS book!
(actually almost everything is in there.)
For people staying in hall, please note that you are supposed to go for registration with your hall mates.
Do not follow your faculty Registration dates.

As i was saying.
It wasn't as troublesome as i thought that it would be.
First part was verifying and updating of your particulars.
Second, Acceptance Record Undertakings and Authorizations.
(ok, i personally think that the second part is crap.
it is just like a ticking game,
so you go down the list and you tick tick tick tick tick...
then done!
okie, but actually, you are supposed to read the links and agree to the "Rules and Regulations" before ticking.
Obviously, people like me won't read right?
tsk , I am a bad student. please do not follow my footsteps.)
Third, Declare whetehr or not you have taken up a MOE tuition grant before.
(For most people this part would be simple. Like two more ticks and you are done!)
Fourth, confirm you pre-registration status.
(Just look through all your personal particulars once again.
this is exactly like a repeat of step one!
then click Submit!)
Fifth, Click on the Link
confirm your birthday,
print out your student number, PIN, user id, and password.
Done!
(Chicken Feet!)
Sixth, Click on the download tuition grant link.
Go to page setup and set the pageas instructed:
"Please set the 'Page Setup' of File Menu of your browser as, Left & Right margin as 0.35 inches, Top & Bottom as 0.5" to print the form in a single page."
Then print, and then done!
(:

So that is all for pre-registration.
Not that difficult.

Please download the GIRO form also.
http://www.nus.edu.sg/finance/students/forms/GIROFORM.pdf
Fill it in accordingly.

Then, there is one more thing, the Standing order form.
http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/post-secondary-education-account/files/psea-so-form.doc
I am not very sure what this is la.
but i printed it out just in case lo.

Erm, that should be the end of the whole thing.
Just turn up for registration with all those things that you have printed and filled in and your medical report if you went to a private one instead of the one at NUS.

Also, go and make your student card.
Just go down to any transitlink counter with your NRIC and $8.
And, application of your student card would have been made.
Student card can be collected on the day of registration itself!
and with the student card, you can enjoy good deals such as 20% off Subway!
yeah man! (:
